Overview
A 3D printed part is not mechanically identical in every direction. Layer orientation, infill, wall thickness and material selection strongly affect strength and deformation.
FEA is useful when it is used as an engineering filter, not as decoration. It helps identify high-stress areas, compare design alternatives and avoid obvious failures before printing.
The final decision still requires practical validation. Simulation reduces risk, but real testing confirms whether the part can survive the actual working environment.
Technical point: Why simulation must take print orientation, material behaviour and operating load into account.
